Cherry Mobile & Windows? Why not!
In a recent launch at Sofitel Manila, the two brands launched the country’s first locally-branded Cherry Mobile Alpha series smartphones and tablets powered by the Windows Phone 8.1 mobile platform.
Alpha Morph, Play, Style, and Luxe were unveiled as Windows tablets and smartphones surprisingly produced and distributed by a local brand.
The launch also premiered Cherry Mobile’s TVC for the new gadgets starring teen celebrity Kim Chiu.
Smartphones: Cherry Mobile Style & Luxe
Cherry Mobile seems to be on the roll as we just had a brief feature of Cherry Mobile Flare 3 weeks ago, and now this! The Cherry Mobile Style was first introduced followed by the Cherry Mobile Luxe. Both series’ smartphones are equipped with the Windows Phone 8.1 operating system and affordably priced at P 2,999 and P 4,999 respectively. Both run on 1.2 gigahertz Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processors and Adreno 305 graphics.
Style is good for the new Windows Phone platform user in the younger age bracket. with its 4-inch 800×480 IPS screen, 4G of memory, and 512 megabytes RAM.
Luxe, on the other hand, is for the yuppies looking for a smartphone that delivers for work purposes. It has a bigger screen at 5-inch 1280×720 HD screen, 8G memory, and 1G of RAM.
Tablets: Cherry Mobile Play & Morph
For tablets, Windows 8.1 OS-powered Cherry Mobile Morph and Play both run on 1.33 gigahertz quad core processors and Intel Gen7 HD graphics.
Priced at Php 11,999, Morph is geared toward productivity-oriented purposes with its own keyboard in-box, 32G of on-board memory, and 2G RAM. It has a 10-inch high-definition IPS screen.
Meanwhile, Cherry Mobile Play is the sleeker tablet among the two with its 8-inch screen. Designed for mobile play and media consumption, it has 16G memory and 1G RAM and priced at P 7,999.
Opening More Windows
As seen on the specs, the collaboration is further enhanced in partnerships with Intel and Qualcomm. Cherry Mobile is also Intel’s first local partner.
